The National Home Watch Association is a multi-national organization, founded in 2009, that establishes and maintains professional standards and ethics for home watch companies across the United States and Canada. Its mission is to protect homeowners from uninsured, unbonded, and unethical operators, to build trust between homeowners and home watch professionals, and to ensure that only companies meeting the highest standards of professionalism earn accreditation.
This matters because home watch is a largely unregulated field. In Florida, no specific license is required to operate as a home watch provider, which means the burden falls on homeowners to determine who is genuinely qualified, insured, and trustworthy. NHWA accreditation removes much of that guesswork.

Not every company qualifies for membership. To earn and keep NHWA accreditation, a business must pass a rigorous vetting process that includes:
- A criminal background check on all company principals
- Consumer-affairs and Better Business Bureau inquiries

- Adherence to the NHWA Code of Ethics and established best practices

The NHWA is the accrediting body for home watch professionals in the U.S. and Canada, setting the standards Crown Concierge Services is held to.
Accreditation requires passing a vetting process that includes a criminal background check on company principals, consumer-affairs and Better Business Bureau inquiries, verification of required business licenses, continuously maintained insurance and bonding, and adherence to the NHWA Code of Ethics.
